In class we reviewed chapter 18. Here are some important terms to remeber:

popuklation: amount of the same species in the same are.

community: combined populations, communities have many different fors of life interacting with each other.

in communities species form relationships based on competition. For example; Two different kinds of clams may fight for whi get the better spot relative to the water. Competition also happens within species. This is known as intraspecific competition. For example; 2 deer could fight for the better plot of land.

Also remember the difference between exponential and logistis curves. (J and S curves)
On ogistic graphs the graph seems to level out. This is when the species reaches its carrying captivity.
